Earthy, fresh herbs are among the delicious flavours in this dry white, which is made from the Vidiano grape, a Greek native, which was grown in mountainous vineyards in Heraklion, Crete. The wine was fermented with ambient yeasts in stainless steel tanks, oak barrels and clay amphorae, in which it matured for six months on fine lees.
Oenops Wines was founded in late 2015 by Nikos Karatzas and friends and it is the most recently established winery in the region of Drama, in northern Greece. Their main production is from Greek grape varieties, mostly from Macedonia.
